  1. The attached BinHex file contains a program called "LDInstall".
  2. LDInstall installs an FKEY called LaserDump as FKEY 6; if there's
  3. already an FKEY 6 resource, then LaserDump will replace it.
  4.  
  5. Those of you with a technical bent can use ResEdit or the FKEY
  6. Manager to install LaserDump as an FKEY of a different number.
  7.  
  8. Once LaserDump is installed, hold down the Command and Shift keys,
  9. and type a 6.
  10.  
  11. You'll first see a Page Setup box; you can choose whatever options you
  12. want. If you click "OK" you'll then see a Print dialog; again, you
  13. can choose whatever options you want.

  15. If you're dumping a Mac II screen, which is wider than a standard
  16. printer page, you should choose landscape orientation.
  17.  
  18. LaserDump actually will work quite nicely on the ImageWriter as well;
  19. it uses the Mac Printing Manager, so it will also work on any
  20. printer supported by the Mac.

  22. Caveats: I've never had LaserDump or the installer crash, but under
  23. some scaling conditions the screen printout can be oddly scaled.
