- The attached BinHex file contains a program called "LDInstall".
- LDInstall installs an FKEY called LaserDump as FKEY 6; if there's
- already an FKEY 6 resource, then LaserDump will replace it.
-
- Those of you with a technical bent can use ResEdit or the FKEY
- Manager to install LaserDump as an FKEY of a different number.
-
- Once LaserDump is installed, hold down the Command and Shift keys,
- and type a 6.
-
- You'll first see a Page Setup box; you can choose whatever options you
- want. If you click "OK" you'll then see a Print dialog; again, you
- can choose whatever options you want.
-
- If you're dumping a Mac II screen, which is wider than a standard
- printer page, you should choose landscape orientation.
-
- LaserDump actually will work quite nicely on the ImageWriter as well;
- it uses the Mac Printing Manager, so it will also work on any
- printer supported by the Mac.
-
- Caveats: I've never had LaserDump or the installer crash, but under
- some scaling conditions the screen printout can be oddly scaled.
-
- If you have any questions or problems, contact me, Rich Siegel,
- rs4u@andrew.cmu.edu.
-
- LaserDump is free for distribution and copying, provided that this file
- accompanies it wherever it goes. LaserDump is ⌐1988 Richard M. Siegel.
- LaserDump was written using Lightspeed Pascal, with standard libraries
- ⌐1986 by THINK Technologies.
-
- LaserWriter is a trademark of Apple Computer, Inc.
-
- LaserDump may not be sold.
